What Really Are Our Working Hours?
It’s imperative to define your working hours if you want to stay sane in this otherwise crazy world. With technological advancements, the number of hours we work is getting uncertain with every passing minute. Wasn’t technology supposed to reduce our working hours? At least, that’s what we thought but as reality has it, it has made it more difficult for us to differentiate our work from our lives - we're checking emails on the dinner table, attending calls while we go back home and constantly checking WhatsApp to see if our boss is texting us about something.
Our Jobs Are Taking Over Our Lives
Often when people work on holidays, they assume they are ahead of others and hence will be more successful, but guess what? Now that working over the weekend is normal, most people work on the weekends and you aren’t any different. It’s also argued that your productivity is more on weekends than on weekdays. Yeah, surprising but true. To get the work done as soon as we can, we are more attentive at our jobs when compared to weekdays.
