3 Kinds Of Relationships It's Time To Say Goodbye To

Leo Tolstoy said, "Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." The same can be said about relationships. Just like unhappy families, some relationships can be resurrected, and some can't. The ones that can't... are they really worth exploring? The folly of hope is all too common in love. We keeping hoping that things will get better, and we are willing to do whatever it takes. But, sometimes, we are disappointed, and we wonder if all that effort was even worth it?

Now, we are not saying that all unhappy relationships must be abandoned. But, there are some which have little scope for improvement, and as such, are relationships you're better off saying goodbye to...

    1. One that takes you away from other people and activities in your life...

Needless to say, when you meet someone new, you want to spend all your time with them. So, for a while, you hang out less with your friends, don't call your mom as much, and leave work early. But, as the relationship grows, this begins to change, and the two of you get back into the groove of your individual lives, while maintaining the relationship. But, there are some relationships which suck you in. You may or may not be spending all your time with them, but emotionally, that's the only place you're at. You begin to isolate yourself from your friends and family, and stop valuing your work. Your relationship becomes central to your life, and spending time elsewhere seems wrong, in some way. This is the beginning of an abusive relationship

    2. One that has no future...

If you are with somebody that you can't envision a future with, you are not in a relationship. You are having a fling, and that's totally cool. But, if you are calling it a relationship, and emotionally investing yourself in it as such, then you might want to take a step back and evaluate how it's working for you to be with somebody who comes with a deadline. If they're just biding time with you, or your time comes with an expiration date, then what's the point? Invest your time in someone who is actually willing to invest in you otherwise it'll always be a one-sided relationship.
