Too often, we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Being kind, compassionate and caring are some of the most under-rated virtues today. But what we forget is that it is only love that can heal our brokenness.

In today’s day and age, people have become more pragmatic and self-centred. Every relationship is like a business deal. The ones that are formed are the ones that guarantee a return on investment, tricks of trade aren’t even spared from being used on matters of the heart.

They will think twice to help someone who can never repay them and taking advantage of someone is almost like their second nature.

People who love selflessly, care too much and forgive easily are often labelled as ‘sensitive’ or ‘emotional fools’ by those who don’t know what loving someone actually means and what it takes to forgive someone’s darkness.

How often do you come across someone who actually cares? Someone who will forgive you after you have had a big bad fight? Someone who will go out of his/her way to help you with your work?

Not often right?

So, if you find someone like them, hold on to them for they are diamonds in the rough. They are the ones who will stick by you no matter how difficult the times get and the ones who will love you unconditionally.

So, if you think that having a big heart is a sign of weakness or vulnerability, think again.

They are the strongest people I know for they aren’t afraid to love even when they know their feelings aren’t reciprocated, aren’t afraid to give second chances to those who have hurt them and are always happy to be someone’s light when life gets dark.

It is rare to come across selfless souls who harbour big and beautiful hearts in a world full of people, who are constantly finding ways to pull others down or use them to their own advantage.

A BIG SHOUT OUT to those who love with all their heart and always look for the best in people. Not all can be someone’s home, someone’s confidante, someone’s joy and someone’s sunshine.

You are doing a great job at being YOU for you make this world a better place to live in.
