She’s the kind of girl who thinks having any sort of emotions makes her a weak human being. She doesn’t want people to know that she gets affected by things but that’s not really how it is.

Most of the time she hides her feelings because she thinks that she’s overreacting or because she’s not allowed to have those feelings over something so stupid.

Most people think that she’s playing mind games but that’s not true. When you ask her ‘how are you?’ and she replies ‘fine’, she’s not trying to be spiteful.

She doesn’t expect you to be a mind reader but she also doesn’t want to come off as someone who’s weak. She will put on a smile even when she's dying inside.

She hates the fact that she even has any feeling at all.

But there are times when she doesn’t really want to hide them. There are times when she wants to talk to you and tell you what’s on her mind but she just can’t muster up the strength and courage. She worries you might judge her or not understand her, she worries that she might drive you away.

And it’s not just the negative feelings she’s afraid of showing, it’s the positive ones too. She stops herself from getting too deeply involved with anyone because she doesn’t want to be hurt but when she does fall in love, she does will all her heart.

She wants to tell you how she feels; she wants to tell you that she loves you but she’s afraid you might not feel the same way. She’s afraid of rejection just like you and everyone else in the world is.

She finds it really difficult to be herself and to open up to people.

For her to open up to someone, she has to trust them blindly and she will find it extremely challenging. But challenging doesn’t mean impossible.

She needs to know that you won’t judge her for having feelings and that you’ll be there for her. She needs to know that you won’t be mad at her for being mad at you and that she is special to you.

Ask her how she’s doing when she’s upset, try and draw her out of her shell. Make her believe that you love her and that you will be there for her. Tell her that she means the world to you and that you want to be a part of her life.

Explain to her that it doesn’t have to be this way and that she doesn’t have to be alone.

Tell her that showing her feelings doesn’t make her weak but only makes her human. And only when she knows that you won’t hurt her, she will be truly yours.
